    Hello,
Recently I did a google test on my site for how well it works on a mobile device. It failed. One reason is that the page widths were too wide. I have not altered the page width of the Pictorico theme. Is there something I should know or could do to make my site, and the Pictorico theme more mobile friendly?
    Thanks.

If you can let me know at which width the mobile display doesn’t look right, I can have a look. As far as I know, the theme displays well responsively at any device size.

    Hi Kathryn,

For me it looks very well using my Android Smartphone with the current stable version of Google Chrome. I have 1 row in portait and 2 rows in landscape mode. Very nice.

But: For me the menu button (on the top right side) doesn’t work. I can press it but nothing happens. I hope that there’ll be a fix for that so that the theme is usable on mobile as well. As of now I have to continue to use WPtouch.

Okay, I found the issue… It works when I have the menu (class menu-toggle) with the h1 tag. Since I want to keep my site W3 valid, h1 is only fine for the website title but not for the menu as well. Therefore I will not work (as of now) at all. Sadly.

Any solution to get h2 working?

    Thanks a lot and greetings,
    Markus

    Hi Kathryn,

I solved it for me. After I got the idea with the h1 I searched through the javascript files and found the h1 match within the navigation.js where I updated it to h3 (to match the header.php tag). Now it works and I can finally switch off WPtouch and use your theme at all including a valid W3 validation.

If you’re interested, please let me know. I could send you my updated files (which also include a valid Google Webmaster Tagging for vcard, hatom and so on).

    Best regards,
    Markus

Glad you sorted this out. I don’t think we’d be changing the underlying HTML at this point since the theme has been out in the wild for so long and it would break a lot of child sites and custom CSS, but thank you for the offer. ?? Glad you’ve got things how you want them.
