How to get rid of search box

    Hi,
    I would like to completely remove the search box option from the site including the mobile version but can’t quite figure out how.
    Am using a child theme and unsure what code to put in the editor.

    ok figured it out myself. For anyone else wondering…
    just added this bit of code to custom css
    #search-area { display: none }
