Why would our WP site suddenly slow to a crawl?

    Hi,

    We are in the development phase (goes live in 4 days) of a client WordPress site. All was working well but when I tried to access the site (asphaltinstitutewp.org) today – it is crawling. I don’t know what happened overnight, no new plugins were installed and I don’t believe any of our staff did anything, but I’m not sure.

    I deactivated all plugins (so now the site looks funky), that didn’t help. I then installed a couple of plugins to see if that would help (W3 Total Cache & WP-Optimize), that didn’t help. I suspect something with MySQL but I don’t have the expertise to troubleshoot that. The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services, a couple of other sites there on the same shared server are not experiencing problems.

    Any help would be appreciated, I’m also willing to pay for help as we’re under a big deadline and it is so slow I can’t add pages, etc.

    I can’t recommend Brad enough – he zeroed on the problem quickly and resolved it (a bunch of user instances were stuck).

    Brad is the man.
