Denmark site-Help needed with W3C validator, img alt atribute error

If you look at the source (Chrome: ctrl-u) you can search for “<img” to find the images on the page and see which one or ones don’t have an alt attribute.

The alt attribute is text which will be read out by a screen reader for a visually impaired user who is unable to see the image.

When you are creating a page or post, and you click the Add Media button, select an image, there is an Alt text field where you can enter a textual description of the image. Some people don’t bother, but that makes the site more difficult to use for the visually impaired.

The missing alt attributes errors seem to refer to the images used in the skitter slideshow. I’ve loaded the skitter plugin and as you say there is nowhere to enter the alt text and it is not output in the plugin code. Even if you managed to modify the code, those edits would be overwritten by the next plugin update. You could ask for the feature in a future update in the plugin’s support forum:

or look for another slider. No guarantee others would be better in this respect.
