Hi, thanks for reply. The problem is not the menu bar. The problem is the possibility to customize the theme in general.

“Fatal error: Call to a member function check_capabilities() on a non-object in /var/www/grapha.dk/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-customize-control.php on line 233”

    Hi

you are used any plugin for theme customization

No, I just use the Theme – Custimize uption under Appearance

Ok, able to see the error now. Will revert back with a fix.

Hi. I am having the same problem. My original question is in this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/customize-link-broken?replies=9#post-6279603

My site is still under construction, so it’s not live, but if you need to see it I can make it live for a short time upon request.

I didn’t make changes to the actual theme files, but I did add some custom CSS and I am also using 6 plug-ins:

    Breadcrumb NavXT
Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd
    Contact Form 7
    Google Analytics
    Master Slider
    WordPress SEO

Can plug-ins mess up the theme?

Hi grapha. Can you can work around this annoyance by clicking Appearance > Theme Options or clicking any of the menu items beneath Customize in the left navigation menu? I’ve been able to do this.

When you click on one of the customize links and you get the fatal error, just hit your back arrow and then click the menu item for the thing you want to customize, like header, widgets, etc.

We are working on the theme fix.there is no need to delete and reinstall the theme, it won’t help.also it’s not issue with plugins. WordPress just updated their requirements so we’re working on the fix.thanks for your patience

Woohoo! Thank you. I really like the theme. I love all the flexibility and customizations we can do without altering theme code.

Until the fix is ready, will it mess anything up if I continue to work around this as I described to grapha?

I’m planning to launch my new business and website by year-end. Does this problem only affect the site when you are working on it or would visitors to a live website run into some issues?

for now there is only the bug with the customizer page. this will not affect your work or your visitors experience.

    Awesome. Thanks.

There are more problems than just the Customize link. If you go to Theme Options >> Header and try to upload a logo, you get a new window with the message “Cheatin’ uh?”

Also, the only way I find the option to show a static home page (instead of recent blog entries) is in the Customize menu. Is there somewhere else I can select this option behind the scenes? How about a different place to upload a header image?

I’ve worked on a site for 2 weeks to launch TODAY. Should I reload 3.0.3 or is this going to be fixed in the next couple hours?

    Thanks.

I would suggest the earlier version.we are working on the upload issue also.

I am having the same problem, glad to hear I am not alone.

On a related topic, I am new user of this theme and can not figure out how to get rid of the default carousel that shows “Super Awesome WP Theme”, etc… What am I missing?

    Thanks all!
