    Hi.
I tried many forums and articles so decided to create ne.

First of all MU Domain Mapping is not working on folder installations still even in 4.x version so please do not suggest that.

Secondly I have a multisite enabled WP. It stays in the folder /portal so that is the default site which is empty and that is another thing I need to sort out. My real blog is on /portal/explorations/ hence there is another folder within WP. I can login as super user. default site dashboard is all accessible.

But my blog is now inaccessible https://www.mgirengun.net/portal/explorations/ gives 403. I can go in categories or type something else like https://www.mgirengun.net/portal/explorations/category I can see the site. But the second site root gives error.

I did check permissions of explorations folder and it is 755. No need to change 777. Even that I tried though. By the way it was working before. This may have happened after I set up a subdomain to redirect to that folder explorations.mgirengun.net But .htaccess seems intact.

Now what is the problem you think? Thanks.

Well I resolved it stupidly when I wanted one of the subdomains to direct to subfolder WP site, of course the way I did it created an actual folder in the path called explorations. WP does not create a folder it is just a name, but redirect did. So it was going to that folder and was giving 403. Just deleted the folder.

But now that brings another question which I think i need to put somewhere else…
Can I use a subdomain name to look at a WP folder install. Well I will put the link to that question here.
