Comment count correct, but showing zero in the comment box

I recently migrated comments from an old URL structure to a new one. They all appear to have imported successfully as they are live in my admin area. They aren’t showing up on the site, though.
Nothing was showing up at all, but then I followed the instructions here: https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/472005#external-files That seems to have helped a little bit.
Now the comment count displays correctly in the top of the post, but in the comment box at the bottom it shows 0 comments.
Is there something else that I’m missing?
