Full event calendar not loading

    Since a few days, full calendar doesn’t load any more. The loading icon just spins but doesn’t load any events. I get a ajax-timeout: “Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 10 seconds exceeded …”

    Disabeling plugins and changing theme doesn’t do any changes, here the page in question: https://www.graf.cat/en/calendari-espais/

    Lateley I didn’t do any WordPress nor themes or plugin updates, could it be that there are too many events and they can’t be loaded in 10 seconds any more? Going back to August shows my events, as there are little. Strange thing is that it worked till recently and that I didn’t add a lot of events…

    Did you disable all plug-ins? (It may not be the number, but one in particular). And do you know how many events there are in the month where this happens?

    Strange thing is that it worked till recently and that I didn’t add a lot of events…

    – The calendar will only fetch the events that needs to be shown. So it really matters only if there are a lot of events in the one month. But I’ve seen sites with perhaps 3-5 events each day for an entire month display relatively quickly – which is why I’m wondering if another plug-in is increasing processing time or there is alot of events in that one month.

    I’ll add that 10 seconds is a long time for the calendar to load, but much shorter than the 30-120 seconds that’s normally allocated to PHP processors, you may want to talk to your host – but of course this wouldn’t make the calendar any faster.

    Thanks for your comments. Finally I checked all events which have been created lately and it turned out that there was one repeating daily till the end of the days. Deleting that event made the calendar show up correctly.
