NavXT and bbPress

  • Hello there,

    very nice plugin indeed. I am working on a WP 4.0.1 site with current bbPress and BuddyPress plugin. For some reason NavXT does not detect the bbPress Forum path correct. In backend I can’t choose the Forum base path as a base before breadcrumbs. Do you have some suggestions on how to setup NavXT correct for bbPress? I did change the bbPress permalinks to german language in backend bbPress settings.

    Anyhow, I will rate this plugin 5 stars!

    I haven’t looked into the behavior in bbPress in a while, but BuddyPress does some things that cause problems in Breadcrumb NavXT. I plan on working on BuddyPress support for the next release (development sprint starts a week from today). I’m going to lump this in with the BuddyPress issue for now, it is tracked here: https://github.com/mtekk/Breadcrumb-NavXT/issues/94

    I’ve investigated this and have made modifications to Breadcrumb NavXT for version 5.2 that will facilitate bbPress compatibility. Note that an extension plugin will be required for the breadcrumb trail on Topic Tag archives to be correct (will be a free extension plugin, and will be made available on the day of Breadcrumb NavXT 5.2’s release).
