Sidebar feature?

I was wondering if a sidebar feature will be a part of the new version. In another topic you mentioned that the new version is planned for this month. It would be great to easily show users the visits of that day, the total visitis or of the months for example. So, kind of a flexible solution for the sidebar widgets. Any chance?
