How to freeze menu effect and make body responsive

I recently purchased the Eight theme. https://shinetheme.com/demosd/eight/?page_id=178

How can i make the menu stay visible or open as opposed to closed until you click on the menu? In other words, I want the menu to stay open the whole time.

Furthermore, will the site’s body, to the right of the menu, become responsive to this change?
