links lead to search results

  • Notice how on engadget, when they mention a brand (for ex. ‘everex’ like in this post), the link goes to a search result ‘../?q=everex’, showing results to that word.

    How is this done?

  • Linking to ‘…/?s=everex’ on wordpress should do this.

    If you want to do this automatically you might want to have a look for text replacement plugins. A quick search found this one but I don’t use one myself so I wouldn’t know if this is the best one to use.

    well here’s what i wanna do. On my group blog certain members of an organization are mentioned every so often. I don’t wanna have to edit each post link to that person’s name, so I want it to automatically recognize that person’s name, which is then turned clickable going to that person’s profile page.

    if anyone has an idea of how this can be done all sorts of love will reach out to that person.
