    My best guess is that you are using a second set of icons bundled with your theme or another plugin. I would recommend adding a font-family CSS decleration to the icon you are placing onto a page.

    For example

    <span data-icon="23432" style="font-family:'name-of-font';"></span>

    That should trigger things to work properly.
