[Theme: Edin] Front Page

I would like having the same design as in https://edindemo.wordpress.com/ (all on 1 page). The first page with the text “The content of the front page template is displayed here.
This is a great place to add your “call to action” with a brief message.
The image behind this text is added as a featured image.
If you wish to add a button like below, use a CSS class: button-minimal.”
does this Page has a “Front Page” template or a “Grid Page” template? When I use a “Front Page” template (for this first page) and create additional Pages (with “Grid Page” template) that have this first page as Parent the child grid pages don’t show up!?

Any help welcome.
