Ordering markers not working

I have the Pro version.
I am having trouble getting the ordering of markers to work.
I want the order to be by ID, ascending – as in, from 1 to 9. The marker icons should be A to G.
Regardless of whether I choose ascending or descending, the order is displayed as descending (from 9 to 1).
As a suggestion, reordering would be a really great feature.
