Need help with title and description

  • I created my website about a month ago and about two days after I had the website up and running I was able to be found on Google with the proper meta description, title tags etc. Now 6 weeks later When I put my exact domain in google (www.tbgmedia.org) it shows up as wordpress’s default meta/title tags. This looks extremely unprofessional. I’ve made sure my site is index, submitted sitemaps etc. What am I doing wrong?? Please help!

    If I understand your question, have you edited site title and description in the dashboard?

    Yes I have edited the site title and description in the dashboard weeks ago. Also I’ve installed SEO by yoast and the snippet says I should appear correctly in Google’s search results..however I do not. Please let me know if you have any advice. Thanks

    Have you set up a Google Webmaster tools account on Google?

    Yes I have I did that about 5 weeks ago. The webmaster tool says I submitted the sitemap correctly and I had google index my website around 5 weeks ago as well. I don’t understand what’s going on. In fact my website was appearing in the search results correctly for a while and now it’s back to the unprofessional WordPress title and description again.

    That’s certainly odd – and you haven’t changed anything on the site since then?

    If not, sounds like a Google problem – have you asked them about it or had the site reindexed?

    I haven’t changed anything on the site and I just reindexed my site a few minutes ago..Also I used the snippet preview tool provided by Google Webmaster tools and it appeared to be perfect in the preview. Do you know how I can contact google? Is that even possible? Do they have support for this sort of thing or a chat option?
