Changing box background in twenty fourteen

Hi, I am trying to change the color of the white boxs background. This box appears on every page as the main content section and its white and I can’t seem to change it. I am using the twenty fourteen and the styles plugin and have completely blacked out the site and still have no luck…Can someone pleas help me? Here is blacked out site with the white box
