Search 2 blogs – return one Search Results page

I am wondering if anyone has upgraded the search functionality with a more feature rich option such as yahoo.

Here is the end need: I am running a corporate site and I would like to add regular blog functionality. Due the the insane level of customization in building the corporate site, I would like to build the blog as a vanila 2.1 of wp.

The one requirement is to have the search return results from both blog and corp.

thoughts? suggestions? magic?
