    When I view my 404 log file I see errors which appear to be caused by one of the theme’s font files.

    The missing URL in the log file is :

    https://haitidebeachresort.com/wp-content/themes/customizr/inc/assets/css/fonts/fonts/entypo.eot;src:urlhttp:/haitidebeachresort.com/wp-content/themes/customizr/inc/assets/css/fonts/fonts/entypo.eot

    The file (entypo.eot) DOES exist but the URL seems to be malformed (almost as if it is duplicated). This error has been logged against several different pages on the website.

    Any ideas? Should I be concerned or just ignore them?

    You’re not the only one who is getting this error. Did you find a way to take care of it yet?

    No. These 404 errors persist. I just checked. 14 more since I cleared the log about 10 days ago. There’s been a few updates since my original post but you are the only reply I’ve received.

    Hi dccharron, I don’t see the same 404 errors of the origina topic, in your site. I see these ones:

    GET chrome-extension://boadgeojelhgndaghljhdicfkmllpafd/cast_sender.js net::ERR_FAILED
    www-embed-player.js:166 GET chrome-extension://dliochdbjfkdbacpmhlcpmleaejidimm/cast_sender.js net::ERR_FAILED
    www-embed-player.js:166 GET chrome-extension://hfaagokkkhdbgiakmmlclaapfelnkoah/cast_sender.js net::ERR_FAILED
    www-embed-player.js:166 GET chrome-extension://fmfcbgogabcbclcofgocippekhfcmgfj/cast_sender.js net::ERR_FAILED
    www-embed-player.js:166 GET chrome-extension://enhhojjnijigcajfphajepfemndkmdlo/cast_sender.js net::ERR_FAILED

    Which have nothing to do with the customizr theme ??

    That’s a different issue. It’s related to Chrome generating an error when you don’t have chromecast installed. It’s really silly. Here’s the google group issue where that error has been discussed. I think Google have closed it but you’ll get the drift of the reason for the error.

    Yes I know,
    but isn’t about the entypo fonts, that’s what I wanted to say (or better, I said ;)). Do you still see 404 for entypo fonts?

    Thread Starter dccharron

    (@dccharron)

    Yes. I still see the 404 for entypo fonts. The URL is

    https://haitidebeachresort.com/wp-content/themes/customizr/inc/assets/css/fonts/fonts/entypo.eot%29;src:url%28http:/haitidebeachresort.com/wp-content/themes/customizr/inc/assets/css/fonts/fonts/entypo.eot

    You can see in the URL that it is looking for a file belonging to the Customizr theme. I’ve checked to see if that file exists and it does.

    So I thought it might be a malformed URL but I’m no expert on all possible constructs of URLs (or should I say URIs). Perhaps it’s something I did but I can’t find it. I’ve just noticed something. I’ve got a hunch. I’ll post again if I think I’ve found it.

    Weird that when I go to https://haitidebeachresort.com
    I cannot see these 404 errors.. Which browser?

    Thread Starter dccharron

    (@dccharron)

    They don’t always come up. I might see one per day. The 404 monitor I use tells me that the browser that was used on this error was:

    Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)

    I read that to mean Firefox but am not sure if that’s correct.

    I’ve got other sites using Customizr and they all get the same error.

    Many thanks @nikeo.

    After upgrading to the latest version of your wonderful theme (3.3.9) I still experienced the entypo.eot 404’s but now that I’ve added the filter function you gave in that related topic I have not seen any more. I can now apply this to my other sites. Thank you so much. I have flagged this post as Resolved.
