Steps involved in building an E-commerce platform

  • Good morning y’all. I have a quick one here,haven fell in love with this amazing theme. I kindly want to know the steps taken/involved in integrating an E-commerce platform with this wonderful theme,any world through will be well acceptable.

  • Morning Josh. As a Newbie, you certainly like a challenge!

    Step 1 – Understand your requirements. Write them down. What are the key features you require?

    Step 2 – Research. By e-Commerce, are you trying to set up a Shop to sell something you make (for example), or are you trying to compete with Amazon? If not the former, then I’d say forget it (as a Newbie). Find someone else to do it for you. If not, find a site that does close to what you want and find out what they use. Probability is you will use Woocommerce. Look through the Showcase.

    Step 3 – Prototype. Build a prototype as you’ll discover all the Issues along the way.

    Step 4 – Use the experience of Step 3 to Build the solution.

    BUT. This is not the easiest thing for a Newbie to start with. This will take a lot of time and learning.
