Chile theme single-slug not working

  • Hi,

    I am creating a child theme and try to override single-{custom}.php . however when the child theme is activated the single-custom is not found.

    the single-custom is created through permalinks, the setting is set at custom structure and named /post/%post_id%/

    The odd thing is that when i change the permalink to posts%post_id%/ and change the single-post.php to single-posts.php everything is working.

    I tried also saving permalinks after child-theme activation to flush the system. But this doesn’t work.

    Does anyone have any idea how this could be?
