• Hi,

    Thanks for looking.

All of a sudden my my_sql database seems to be offline. My website is unavailable and I can’t login anymore through my webhost login into the my_sql database…

Normally I would think that my webhosting provider has a problem but today I was actually working on my website so I’m thinking that I might the cause of this myself… But, is that even possible?
I’ve made a backup of all files on the www/ folder with Filezilla (while keeping the original files online of course). I’ve messed with some plug-ins, opened some php files to see some stuff and might have accidentally messed up the codes in there…

Probably not, but it is too coincidental for this too happen at once.

Is it possible that I made the database corrupt / not working by doing this? What might have gone wrong?

Does wordpress actually store such things on the /www folder? What could have happened? ??

Thank you so much. My company has no website online now ??

  • What’s your site URL?

I’d check with the host just in case – so you don’t waste tons of time trying to sort this if it’s on their end.

    Thangs WPyogi.

I already sent them an email but they are not in the office until monday.

Your site seems to be working okay for me. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies.

I found out what the problem is.

My own IP address is blocked… I can’t view the website on any computer here while on the same internet signal, but I can view the website on my phone (3G internet) and when I use an IP-changer.

Did WordPress or my webhosting service marked me as a spammer or something? Any way to undo this?

WordPress can’t do that (a plugin might – do you have any security or anti-spam plugins?) – so check with your ISP and/or webhost.
