Problem with JetPack after update to WP 4.1

I’m interested in this answer, too.

I wish i never would have updated WordPress or Jetpack. I don’t think my theme is compatible with the new WordPress update, b/c my site went down. So, I had to install a backup file. Now, I can’t log into my dashboard because I keep getting an error message there is a problem with the site’s Jetpack connection. So, I can’t change or do ANYTHING on my website.

Any help would be appreciated when answering Phil’s question.

@drrachelnp – you should be able to use FTP or Cpanel access to delete JetPack from your plugins folder on the server. That should let you login again. For additional help with this, please open your own thread so someone can help you – it just doesn’t work well to have multiple people in the same thread.

@phil995511 – If you cannot access your site, you can do the above as well. Beyond that, I’m sure the JetPack support team will reply as soon as they can, but it will help them if you post a link to your actual site.

@drrachelnp Test a login on https://www.yoursite.com/wp-login.php if your login jetpack dont work.

@wpyogi My problem is not similar with the problem of DrRachelNP. My site is 100% visible on the net, but the preview fonction of a theme dont work, and it’s impossible to use the fonction “personalize my theme” .

@phil995511 – yes, that’s what I thought, just making sure. What if you switch to a default theme (twentyfourteen)? Do things work okay then?

I just discovered it was coding I entered in a text widget for a sign up form with my MailChimp plugin. I deleted it. I guess when I delete a plugin, it doesn’t delete text I manually entered into a widget. My question is resolved.Thanks everyone!

I have a similar problem if I active Twenty Fifteen or Twenty Twelve

I am having a similar problem, after wordpress/jetpack was updated it made it hard to work with the plugin. This is the query I get at the top of the website, “Undefined index: QUERY_STRING in /hermes/bosnaweb04a/b772/ipg.simplelocksetsnet/missannettesdance/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php on line 2406” I will not try to fix the code myself since I am not the developer. Anyone else run into this similar code or problem?

@phil995511 Could you go to Jetpack > Settings in your dashboard, and deactivate each module, one at a time, to see if a specific module causes the issues in your customizer?

I have already done this test protocol before sending you my post.

I have not found a particular module that generates this problem.

If Jet Pack has been installed, but disabled, all is ok. As soon I active JetPack, this bug coming. This seems to be the jet pack package that is the problem, not its sub modules. Maybe the activation module on WP servers do not work well? Because as soon as I enable by WP the bug is present.

Could you check for Javascript errors in your browser when trying to access the Customizer? Do you see any errors?

It does not have an error message that appears. The page is “blank”.

I just installed Chrome, there is the same problem with Firefox.

The page seems to stop rendering when trying to get your site title. It seems that you’re not the only one getting this error, as it was reported in Core in the past:

It would be nice if you could run JetPack right …

Two things I think would be change in Jet Pack:

1) Do not require users to connect to WP.com servers for activation modules (for more easy to use).

2) Make it possible to uninstall unused modules (for more sécurity).

Or integrate the functions of JetPack directly into WordPress without plugin (for more stability).
