Use author ID instead of author name

Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to have this plug-in use the author id number instead of name. I have a blog tied into another site that is set up to suck in author id numbers not their name.

Example:

Displays this
https://XXXclone.wpengine.com/trade?author_name=jtripp

But need this.

https://blogs.XXXX.com/realtime/?author=88
