Images cropped but why ?

Hi Cycleholix. Strange; not sure what would cause that. Maybe a long shot here but you might try the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and see if that does anything.

i′ve allready checked that option. Also setting back reg thumbnails to the wp standards. Problem still exists

Must be something different if the new install doesn’t exhibit the same problem. Was it working correctly at one point and then changed?

noticed that weeks ago and made some changes in the code. But nothing which could bother the images.

Dropped the changed ones out of the child theme and tryed the original ones. Same Problem…

Just out of curiosity; on the Popular Posts sidebar, post “Test – Rotwild R.E1 FS 27.5”, are you saying that the full 160×160 image shows the entire bike without cropping the wheels?

No,it is also cropped….like every other image. If you want to take a look on the test installation click here

I used the same files, just a clean installation…everything is fine.

This drives me mad a litte…

edit: There′s a watermark in the bottom left corner of most images. If you see that, the image is not cropped.

Finally, i located the error…it′s the Regenerate Thumbnail Plugin. I used it on the testside and have now the same problem.

Funny fact, if i switch back to the standard settings of wp images, the problem still exists.

Is there any option to undone the regenerate thumbnails changes ?

I read through the plugin author’s blog; interesting but no solution. There are several plugins available that are supposed to remove unused images but I don’t know how well they actually work.

Hmm,sounds like that could work. I will try it and we will see. But i haven′t found the Plugins for removing unused/unwanted images.

If you google “wordpress plugin remove unused image” they should be at the top of the list.

Get it,just behind your link…sorry ?? But that will not fix my problem. I have 6 versions of every image. The original wp sizes and the regenerated. If i delete all regenerated i have to update every single article….

Yeah, I think that’s one shortcoming of WP (or maybe CMSes in general). It’s easy to get the images in but getting them out or cleaning them up is a real pain.

Yeah, in Germany we say “In den sauren Apfel bei?en” Seems i have to go the hard way, if there′s no other option.
