Unable to scroll page when touching metaslider in IE11

I’m not sure why but somehow when I try to scroll down the page while scrolling on the metaslider in IE11, it doesn’t work. I can swipe the slides horizontally, but I cannot scroll down to the rest of the content on the page when using touch screen devices such as a Windows phone (using IE) or a touch screen monitor on a laptop. My guess is the touch action is stolen by the slide left and right of the slides, but it doesn’t happen on other browsers such as Chrome. Has anyone else experienced this problem but was able to find a solution?
