Last update stops ALL my trackbacks showing anywhere…

Can you try enabling the Akismet plugin again, but disable all your other plugins to see if the problem still exists? If that clears things up, you can start enabling your other plugins one at a time to see which one is causing the problem.

Are you thinking there is a conflict with one of my other plugins and the newest version of Akismet?

Quite possible. The Akismet plugin is distributed as a part of every WordPress installation and is rigorously tested with core for compatibility issues. The current version has been stable since December 11th, if this was an issue with the plugin, I would expect to have seen many others reporting it.

If you’re not comfortable disabling other plugins, you can try enabling debug mode on your site by following the steps in this guide:

Disabling your other plugins would be the quicker route, but if you go the debug route and send in the logs, just drop a note here and I’ll keep an eye out for your message.

Ah got it. Thanks for explaining that. I do have a LOT of plugins. I’ll attempt the debug mode first and see what happens.

I figured out what was the problem. Not surprising really but it was working oddly so I had to do some testing over a few days. It was a plugin that removes trackbacks. It has always only removed them from the comment area under each post. I would still see them in my admin comment area. But with your last update it started removing them everywhere.

I’m hoping the plugin creator does an update. I really don’t like the trackbacks showing up under my posts as it looks unprofessional and messy.

Anyway, just wanted to check in.
