CPD causing strange paging behaviour

I am using Weaver II Pro as my theme which permits me to create a page with post summaries as my front page – see https://www.ians-studio.co.uk/ – at the bottom of the page are links to ‘previous pages’.
When Count Per Day is ‘active’ clicking on any of those page links returns me to the front page. When Count Per Day is deactivated everything works fine.
Even typing in: https://www.ians-studio.co.uk/page/2/ when CPD is active causes the URL to be rerwitten/replaced with https://www.ians-studio.co.uk/ and the first page is displayed rather than any of the ‘previous’ pages.
At the moment I have disabled CPD in order to get the paging functionality to work. Ideally I would like to have CPD active again. Any thoughts?
