Use multisite for a company that may expand?

    So, I’m at a critical juncture here – I need to decide whether I will install WordPress or WPMU. I work for a start-up magazine, but they may create an organization that offers other types of media as well. I’m pretty well-versed in the single-user version of WordPress to build sites and manage content, but I can’t decide if multisite would be helpful or hurtful?

    Suggestions or tips? Or someone to talk me out/into it?

  • You can activate multisite any time. For now use the regular WP and when you need to expand, activate multisite.

    The only thing to watch out for is that if you activate multisite later on, you’ll have to use Subdomains and not subfolders.

    But that’s not a big deal.

    I will note that Wired uses single site.
