• WordPress newbie here. I’m having serious trouble with my RSS feed at the moment. The main problem is that the images from my posts don’t actually seem to be included in the RSS. I can only see the URL for the image and its title (<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-35″ src=”https://www.artellerist.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/copyright-helene-gisselmann.jpg”)

I’ve tried several things to fix this:
1) Installing the ‘featured image’ plugin (this shouldn’t logically work as images are not included in the feed as separate content anyway).
2) Turning on ‘Full text’ instead of summary.
3) Changing to a different theme.
4) Read just about any thread/forum on RSS feeds I could find here, and elsewhere.

I can’t for the life of me figure out what I’m doing wrong. How do I change the RSS so it will include the images?

• How are you viewing the feed? A Feed Reader, a Browser, an Email Application? I have viewed the feed using IE11 on Windows 8.1 and see the images. Try resetting your feed on your local machine.

I’m just viewing it through the Chrome browser (I understand that it’s not necessarily supposed to display images as it’s HTML). The problem is more that the images don’t seem to be contained in the HTML, only their names and alt tags. Does this mean that the images are in fact included in the RSS after all?

I can view the feed with images in Feedly, but not through Bloglovin’ (this seems to be a recurring problem for many other bloggers too). Bloglovin’ claims that images not included in the RSS feed is what causes images not to show up on their site – hence my confusion.

Thanks for replying, I really appreciate it.
