Can't use visual section of posts and pages

Hi there. Its likely there is a Javascript error on the page. To investigate further, please enable the javascript console for your browser and look for any errors – usually in red – and post back here. Anything relating to TinyMCE is probably relevant.

If you’re not sure how to do the above let me know your browser, version and operating system.

Can you please provide a list of plugins that you are currently using on your website?

Hi I’ve found the following errors. I’m also now getting a ‘Cheatin’ uh’ message when I attempt to customise a theme. I’ve tried on several themes and the same thing is happening. Do you think it could be the same problem? Anyway here are the errors I found:

The only active plug-ins are Contact Form 7 ver 4.0.3 and podPress ver 8.8.10.17

Do those files exist at the path wp-includes/js/tinymce/skins on your server. Ignore the part of the URL after the ?

See here’s the thing codecowboy, I can’t access their server! They set up an email address four years ago to set up the account with the hosting company and that email address is no longer active so I can’t log into the server because the hosting company will only send the log in details to the now non-existent email address.

I have to get someone from the station to contact them to change the email address so that we can get the log in details.

I have the same problem. Since updating to 4.1 the page editor screen does not display. I tried this on a mac and two PCs and the same happens. The page content and editing tools do not display in the editing window, although the pages are still there when I view them. So right now I cannot edit pages anymore. This was working until the upgrade.

@darichards do you also have the Podpress plugin installed?

No cheatin – just a blank editing page. I am not really a developer, just a website administrator so some of the previous discussion is a little above me.

I’ve tried the suggestions in that link codecowboy and unfortunately they didn’t fix the problem. Do you think I’ll have to manually upload the update? (Which means somehow getting access to the server files through the web hosting company!)

Along with not being able to see the visual editor and the ‘Chetain’ uh’ message when I try to edit themes, it’s now telling me that I don’t have permission to view drafts when I am editing pages – argh!!
