Is UTW & W2.2 Upgrading Safe?

  • I have a number of client blogs still running under 2.0.x and I want to upgrade them to 2.2. However, I haven’t heard if Ultimate Tag Warrior (UTW) is correctly updating the tags to work in WP 2.2.

    I keep hearing and finding people saying how the tags got deleted and it’s not working right. But I can’t get an official answer from the Neato site and so I’m here.

    Will all my tags and tag pages be safe once I upgrade from 2.0.x to 2.2? Or are things still unstable and it may all fall apart ??

  • I’m using UTW 3.14159265 with a couple WordPress 2.2 blogs. Have not noticed any issues so far.

    Upgrade UTW to the absolute latest version first and you should be okay.

    As always, backup that database first! Just in case.
