MAKE theme doesn't update

    I updated the MAKE theme from version 1.4.1 to version 1.4.8 but after updating I still got the notice to update to version 1.4.8. I retried to update but still same notice, am I doing something wrong?

    I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this problem! We don’t have any other users reporting this. Could there be a plugin causing this issue? If you deactivate your plugins and run updates, does the issue persist?

    As soon I replace the style.css with my custom style.css the update re-appears. I don’t rename the css file and don’t use a child theme, is there another option to put custom CSS in the theme?

    Ah ha, that makes sense. I wonder if you’re using a stylesheet with an old version number in there, so WordPress *thinks* you need to update when you don’t? It’s found toward the top of the stylesheet typically, unless you’ve changed that also.

    If you’re making custom changes to the stylesheet and don’t want to use a child theme, a plugin like Simple Custom CSS might help. That’s the one I use and like a lot.
