Hi there – I have no idea what I’ve done but I can no longer access my site, either in admin or as a public user. I just get the following message:

Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed; If you would like to pass argument by reference, modify the declaration of do_action(). in /home4/pmcg911/public_html/bibliophone.com/wp-content/themes/omega/functions.php on line 85

Also, rather bizarrely, despite designing my site in wordpress, using Omega theme, I notice that the tab at the top of the page has a little blue ‘W’ next to my URL. This is the logo used by Weebly?! I did try to build my site using Weebly a couple of months back but had no joy, so switched to WordPress and have had no problems accessing it till just now. Any clues what has happened or what I can do?! In dire need of help please!

    Thank you

Unless you modified the theme, functions.php of omega only has 79 lines. Please try to re-upload the theme.

No I haven’t modified the theme (at least not deliberately!) I can’t re-upload the theme because I can’t even get into my admin dashboard. When I try to enter https://www.bibliophone.com/wp-admin I just get the message as above, and that’s it!

You need to access your site via FTP, delete omega theme folder, then try wp-admin again

I’m really sorry but I don’t understand – what is FTP and how do I access my site that way?

Is this through my Cpanel login? if so, do I just delete the entire Omega folder within CPanel?

    Thanks

    yes, CPanel will work.

Ok, I think I am back! Everything seems to be fixed, but for one thing. You very kindly gave me a way to get my menu bar underneath my header logo (the default is that it sits on top of it). But I can’t remember how to do it. Can you help? Thank you.

Can you find it in forum?

I tried that but no, I can’t! Maybe I imagined it, and in reality I worked out how to do that myself but to be honest…it doesn’t seem likely!
