I recently updated several sites from Frontier 1.1.3 to 1.2.0. In doing so, I have found the following 2 issues:

    1. The tables that I have in a text widget now have borders around all the cells. It seems that this if fixable by adding a white border to every cell in the table. This is annoying.

    2. The Content Width, Sidebar Width – Left, and Sidebar Width – Right options in the Frontier Options section no longer appear to work at all.

Because I did not change anything except to update the theme, I am having a difficult time blaming plugin conflicts, etc.

Perhaps there are custom CSS codes someone could suggest to override these features (I would need the full code as I am not CSS proficient).

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I found the fix for the border problem in a previous thread so that is now fix. Still looking for info on adjusting the sidebar widths. Thanks!

There are usually minimal changes between updates which minimizes any possibility of strange behavior. But updating from an old version that’s 12 months behind will surely not go as smoothly and that is to be expected.

The Content Width, Sidebar Width – Left, and Sidebar Width – Right options in the Frontier Options section no longer appear to work at all.

Do you mean than you are able to change the values on the width sliders but the changes are not showing on your website(frontend). Or do you mean that you can’t find a way to change the values on the options page. Frontier Options -> Layout

I believe you are correct that my problem stemmed from recently making a Child theme from an older version and then updating the old version. When I did that, I ended up with the new slider controls for the width in the updated theme but the Child theme still used the non-slider controls. I resolved the issue by making sure the Child and Parent all both using the newest version. My weakness is that I only recently understood the purpose of a Child theme and that is why I had not updated the theme in a long time (I did not want to lose my changes). I am getting a little smarter. Thanks for your help!
