    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

Thanks. It’s https://www.greatfoodlifestyle.com. If you want to check it out on Pinterest you can go to my profile on there. Here’s the link: https://www.pinterest.com/greatfdlifestyl/. Click on one of the pins from my site (should be easy for you to find one), then look on the right side for the section that says “More from https://www.greatfoodlifestyle.com”. You may have to scroll down a little to find that section, because it’s under the section that includes other posts from that board. If you scroll through the “More from https://www.greatfoodlifestyle.com” section you should be able to see what I’m talking about. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense!

    Thanks for the extra details!

I’m afraid I can’t reproduce the issue on my end: when I pin one of your posts using the Pin button at the bottom of the post content, the pin automatically picks up the image description for me:

It doesn’t seem to display any of the post content itself.

Could you send me a link to one of the pins where you experienced the issue? I went through some of the links here, but couldn’t find a pin with the issue.

    Thanks!

Hmmm…heres one that has the text below it (by text I mean the whole post in text format, with all the computer code stuff). https://www.pinterest.com/pin/493988652852737908/

    Thanks for your help!

I can’t seem to reproduce, though: when I try to share that post using the Ping button at the bottom of the page, I get this:

Could you try to pin that post as well, and post a link to the pin?

I’m not sure if we can reproduce the issue. It seems to only happen sometimes. Here’s another example: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/285486063855398192/

It may be an issue on Pinterest’s end. Thanks for trying. Please let me know if you have any other ideas! Have a good day!

I’m not really sure how it happens. I noticed that you used another Pinterest plugin on your site. I tried using it, and it seemed to work well in my tests, but if you’d like to narrow things down it might be worth trying to deactivate that plugin for a little while and see if the problem disappears? If not, you could then try to remove the Pinterest sharing button from Settings > Sharing, and see if that helps?

That could help us understand if the problem is linked to one of the plugins, or if it’s just a glitch on Pinterest’s end.

I actually just installed that other Pin-it button plug in the other day, which was after I had noticed the problem.

Since I do have the “Pin-it” button on each of the images I will try removing it from the Jetpack Share for a few days. Then I’ll monitor it and let you know how it goes.

    Thanks!

It was still happening, even with the Jetpack “Pin-it” disabled. I’m guessing it’s a Pinterest issue, or maybe something else on my site.

    Thanks.
