Anchor links no longer active after scrolling

I’m using this plugin within:
– Sidebar
– Text Widget
– Containing anchor links to scroll to various areas of page

The widget functionality works fine (anchor links can be clicked and will page will scroll to that area).

Once I scroll past the widget or click an anchor link, the anchor links are no longer active (lose their hyperlink state).

Not sure why this happens, please help.
