Plugin generating incorrect URL

On loop pages, the bitlink generated corresponds to the last post loaded in the page. Not to the page itself. Is this an identified behavior?
I figured that one of the ways to do it is to get the permalink of the page where I am and then pass it onto the shortcode <?php wpbitly_shortlink(); ?> as an argument?
Would that make anything happen?
Just deliriously wondering about this…
