I’ve gone through everything that it says is failing, but it’s all small formatting issues in the posts, nothing related to the sidebar that I can see.

Im sorry, but youre plain wrong.

Error Line 417 column 8: ID “links” already defined.

    <li id=”links” class=”widget widget_links”><h2 class=”widgettitle”>Vital Links …

that is just one error that IS related to your sidebar. Mind you that’s not your fault, that’s wordpress’ .. but its related.

Go through the errors, fix them. The ONLY ones that cannot be fixed are the CSS ids assigned to widgetized output.

Once you’ve fixed those errors – it will be much easier to see whats going on with the site.

    Phoey,
Checked with Internet Explorer Developer toolbar:
In the original theme, the splitted sidebar is part of the sidebar-splitted element.
In your site it is part of the wrapper element (two elements higher)

whooami, I see those errors in the widgets, but in what file do I edit the widgets to fix that? I’m not sure that it’s what is causing the formatting issues with the sidebar in IE, but I’d like to fix that as well either way.

Also, macbrink, could that cause the alignment issues I’m having with IE?

It looks like it, one part of the sidebar is in a place it doesn’t belong.

Thanks for the help guys! I was able to figure out what was causing the issues and it looks great in IE now. I had some code configured incorrectly in my functions.php file. I still need to go through and fix all the small validation errors, but that’s an issue for another day.
