I have read through other threads on the same topic, but I am still failing to see the Owl Carousel as an option in the FG Template.

I went to FG extensions and clicked download on OC. Then click on the “Activate immediately” link that appears on the top of the screen but OC still doesn’t show as active. When I go to the plugins screen I can activate it there (so it appears in my dashboard) but it’s still not showing as active on the FG extensions page. If I try and download it from the extensions screen again it just says it can’t be downloaded.

I have tried deactivating the plugins and deleting / reinstalling both plugins, and have also run a database clean up as well to no avail. Any ideas?

    Sorry you’re having trouble.

Try deleting it from the Plugins page (not the FooGallery Extensions page), then confirm that it’s not activated in the Extensions page. Then install it by searching from the Plugins page. Activate it from the Plugins page. Then go to the Extensions page. If it already shows as Activated then you should be good to go. If not, activate it there and then check.

Lastly, do you have access to your site via FTP? That might be necessary if the above doesn’t work.

Hi! Thanks so much for the quick response.

When I went back to delete the plugin (again) I realised the author name was not yours. When you click on the “download” button next to “Owl Carousel Template” on the FooGallery extensions page, the blurb says it’s your plugin, but the actual one it downloads is “Owl Carousel” by author Pierre Jehan. Deleting that and manually searching for and installing your plugin worked (obviously!).

I’m using FooGallery 1.2.1 and it looks like a link has gone wrong somewhere.

Thanks again for getting back to me.

    Same issue here!

I don’t think you guys have downloaded the right plug-in. There are a number out there that are based on owl carousel jquery script.

The one created by Pierre Jehan. is the wrong one you’ve downloaded is

rather than correct one created by Matt Cromwell

Thanks locka I think we’re aware of that. The fact we’re making is that the link from the FooGalleries extension page links to the Pierre Jehan plugin NOT the Matt Cromwell plugin.

    Hi @babs_uk

Thanks for following up with that. I looked into it and was able to duplicate that behavior. I chatted with Brad Vincent (FooGallery creator) and he pointed out a typo in both FooGallery and Owl. Both have been resolved now, so this shouldn’t happen again in the future.

    Thanks!
