Plugin Activation Error

I cannot activate due to this error below. BTW im running CentOS Linux as well…please advise?

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /xxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/wpsolr-search-engine/class-wp-solr.php on line 651

NOTE: My apachesolr is stable and being ran on the same server connected to Drupal on collection1. I have created collection2 for WordPress with no issues there either.

Just tried activating plugin on new install WP4.1 with same error. No indexing of PDF attachments on Apache Solr.

WPSOLR 2.1 should solve your issue. Was related to PHP < 5.4
