• Hi,

I am very new to this so please forgive unprofessional language.

On my front page are some links https://redbridge.webint.uk/

Bottom purple strip has got some text like Newsletters. Does anyone know what this strip is called and where do I find it in wordpress to make the changes.

    Thank you,
    Margaret

    Hi toto80,
    Thank you for your reply.

I do look at it all the time just don’t know where the problem is. There is nothing that I can click or anything that is obvious enough to me ??
Is it something easy I am missing?

Hi, try to look in the footer.php if there this div
    <div class="col-lg-4 icons">
this should be the box contanining newsletters.
if it isn’t in footer.php try to openother themes file and find it!

Your home page size is about 30mb. it’s too big, you should streamline and lighten pictures and files!!

The bottom strip is called the footer and its contents are defined by various settings.

You’ll probably find the menu items (Newsletters, Cookies, Privacy) in your admin under Appearances – Menus and then one of the menus you’ll find there.

The text with the address and the phone number you’ll probably find under Appearance – Widgets – Footer

Thank you very much for your replay.

Still cant find it. I think it is one of those thinks I will just need to learn from the very basics. at the moment I havent got access to .php. I am using wordpress interface.

toto80 when developer was designing the website he said we need to provide high resolutions pictures, you would think he new what size pictures to put. Streamline? What do you mean by that?

It looks good on my iphone 4s in vertical positions, try yahoo image optimiser to lower the picture sizes so it will load faster on smartphones.

Uploading large images on your website can really slow it down. To shrink down their size, without altering images quality, you can try installing the ShortPixel Image Optimisation plugin.
You can use it directly from your WP Admin, and if you encounter any difficulties our support team is there to help. Hope this helps!
