404 errors

    Hi,

    I use Redirects plugin and recently it shows a number of 404 errors generated by posts themselves trying to call

    /wp-content/plugins/font-awesome-4-menus/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.3.0

    File called in this URI exists in called location so this is not the simplest case.

    Have you got any idea what is causing it?

    After some testing I’ve found, that this happens when I use [fa class=”fa-home”] way of inserting icons. It doesn’t happen when I use <i class=”fa fa-home”></i>.

    Though I can manage it now it is easier and more descriptive in text to use shortcode so I would still ask for right solution.

  • I just recently started getting this error:
    /wp-content/themes/theme-nwc/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff?v=4.2.0"

    Any Ideas on the fix?

    I also have that issue…

    My security Logs showing a lot of 404 Errors (/wp-content/plugins/font-awesome-4-menus/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2 ) called from that referrer: wp-content/plugins/font-awesome-4-menus/css/font-awesome.min.css?ver=4.3.0

    Maybe the developer can help here???

    It is definitely some bug. I described it in my first post after EDIT but as you can see, nobody from developers took care about it for a month.

    You’re right – the .woff2 version of the font was missing in the local copy of the files. We just pushed an update to include it. You should see it and update your plugin soon.

    Updated to the latest version and its still missing. I checked your github and its missing from the fonts folder.

    I tried your solution but its still the same in my case. The offered update even wasnt able to fix it ??

    Is there any way to add that font manually?
    I hope this issue will be fixed soon

    Sorry folks. It wasn’t taking the font when updating the plugin but we got it working. The latest update will fix your issues.
