I have a strange issue. One of my font-awesome icons (newspaper) disappears (in all browsers but safari) after the page loads. The common cause is a loading of a conflicting stylesheet. After deactivating/activating the shareaholic plugin I’ve narrowed down that it is the cause but I’m not seeing that it adds any font-awesome CSS into my page. Is there a “newspaper” icon that could be causing problems and interfering? Any ideas?

    Test site is here:

Newspaper icon loads next to “press” on nav bar and then disappears in every browser but Safari. Any ideas?

  • I am having this same problem! I just looked at your site in Chrome and I see the newspaper icon loaded, does that mean you fixed the issue?

    Hi @kholmeshsv and @mjudson,

Thanks for the bringing this to our attention! My engineers are aware of the FontAwesome issue and a ticket has already been placed for this request. We are expecting to deploy a fix for this within the next week so I will definitely keep you posted once this happens. ??

Thanks a bunch for your patience!

To add to Mary Anne, after months of hard work we rolled out a significant upgrade of the core Shareaholic JavaScript SDK yesterday (you’ll get this update automatically without having to update the actual plugin) which isolates the version of Font Awesome we use completely from yours. The new Shareaholic JS SDK is designed specifically so it doesn’t mess with anything on your pages going forward and ensures robust future compatibility!
