Marketpress, BuddyPress, Digital Sales

  • Hi Guys,
    I know the following issues is something your team was looking to solve. Please give me updates if anything has changed.
    I am wondering if anyone is doing this with this plugin:
    – Integrating Marketpress with Buddypress
    – Allowing each buddypress user to upload (from fronted) digital products and sell them
    – Products from user stores are aggregated and are searchable on the main site store

    I know Marketpress states “compatible with buddypress and multisite.” However, how does that work in practice. Please, if anyone has achieved this or has tried, please get back to me.

    Hi Kristina,

    I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

    The MarketPress plugin is compatible with the buddypress plugin means it works well with buddypress plugin and there isn’t any incompatibility issues but the MarketPress plugin doesn’t integrate with buddypress plugin anyway.

    Currently the MarketPress plugin doesn’t provide any functionality to create product and upload files from the front end of the site.

    There is already a feature request created for this feature and this feature may be added in future version of plugin but We don’t publish ETAs to prevent disappointment if a deadline is missed(which in plugin development quite a frequent occurrence!).

    You can aggregate the Marketpress products from the multisite stores by network activating the Marketpress plugin and make it searchable on the main site store by using any of the following plugins.
