Please install the "bp-default" parent theme.

  • After installing the child theme of my parent buddypress theme (KLEO) with Buddypress activated and the Buddypress Group Blog plugin installed, I get the error message in the Appearance/THEMES window as follows:

    Broken Themes

    The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

    Name – Description
    BuddyPress Group Blog – The parent theme is missing. Please install the “bp-default” parent theme. Delete

    What to do with it? Is there any resolution for this problem? I installed the former BP Default theme, but it did not solve the issue.

    Thx for any comment or solution.

    PS: bp-groupblog, p2, and p2-buddypress themes are installed in the main themes folder, and I’m using the latest version of both WordPress and Buddypress
