Gallery isn't centering with this theme

  • Hey there,

    I’m running WordPress locally while I figure some things out before I make changes on my live site. For whatever reason, with the Make theme I cannot seem to get my gallery centered.

    The gallery seems to be aligned to the left. I am not a complete noob with WordPress but I’m not a pro either. When I inspect the element in my browser it shows the site-main taking up more space to the right of the gallery. The site main appears to be centered but the gallery just won’t center. On the actual page itself I have tried:

    to no avail.

    Hi John! Amazing illustrations—nice work!

    Items within an inline gallery are floated left and are designed to fit within your content width however best possible. Center-aligning these items isn’t really possible, nor something we can offer support for in these forums.

    Instead, I suggest you use the Gallery section provided in Make’s Page Builder.

    Hey Scott. Thank you for the kind words.

    I am trying to use the Gallery now as you suggested from the Page Builder. The thumbnails are centering properly but now they don’t open in a lightbox when clicked. I have tried linking the image URL and it just opens the image on a separate page.

    Is there a way to make those thumbnails open in a lightbox when clicked? I am using the Responsive Lightbox plugin.

    Images in the Gallery section cannot be opened in a lightbox, sorry. You’re not the first to make this request, though. This is on our to-do list!

    For now, I suggest you link your images to a separate page.
