I’m still confused on how to set this up. I had my SEO person set up four goals in Google Analytics. We’re just using default settings. Then I set up the Event Tracking Feed Settings … again, defaults are fine so I left everything blank.

She set up a fifth event for future use, but I have no form or tracking feed set up for it yet. In GA, that one is showing 6 conversions in the last 7 days. But so are all but one of the other Events.

So do we have it set up wrong so that any conversion is registering for all (but if that’s the case, why would one be showing zero)? If tracking multiple forms, do we need to enter unique values for each?

I’m feeling kind of dumb because quite honestly, I don’t understand what any of the fields even mean … I’m just trying to follow the steps and cross my fingers that it works.

Our ultimate goal is to see how people got to the form they submitted (Google ad, organic, direct, email, etc.).

    Thank you for your help!

    Hey Jodzee,

If you want separate goals for each form rather than just separate labels, you’ll need to make sure that there is only a 1 to 1 relationship between goals and conversions. Unless you specify the label in analytics, the default settings and goal configuration I suggested will catch all the form submissions.

If one is showing zero, there must be an issue somewhere in the setup.

Okay, I think I understand. I was thinking by the default spitting out the name of the form, that would suffice. So now I’m doing unique labels for each form and crossing my fingers it works.

And yes, now I found out why one was showing zero … somehow I missed that one and hadn’t set up the event tracking in the form! Thanks so much for your help and the plugin, I’ve been struggling with this for a long time and I really didn’t want to have to resort to a separate confirmation page to make it work ??
