I’m encountering a problem I have never experienced; hoping someone can help. For some reason, when I try to log into the Admin panel on my WP site, I just get a white screen and the browser is locked up. Even if I type in “mysite.com/wp-admin” to bring up the log in panel, it white screens. I seem to be able to log into the Cpanel and access the files with no issue, but I cannot gain access to the WordPress Admin panel.

It does not appear I am using the wrong UserName and Password. Has anyone experienced this before and/or know of any solution?

  • Is the website still up and going?
Can you access the database? maybe something went wrong over there.

I had that happen yesterday after I had inadvertently deleted a Parent Theme.

One thing you might try is to deactivate all plugins by temporarily renaming /wp-content/plugins/ to /wp-content/plug-ins/ or whatever to see whether that might help get you back in.

Thank you all for responding. It was indeed a plug-in issue, identified as leejoseph suggested.
