i adapted some po/po files for making contact-forms multilingual.
i know svn, but as an IT i can introduce myself easily in github.

with GitHub I have yet to figure that out myself, did some translations now manual but John wrote me this:

if you are going to work on files, then the best way is to fork and to clone the github repository to your local computer to take advantage of the git repository functionality, otherwise we will be in trouble when somebody else modifies the same file. It is also easy then to submit a pull request to merge your changes with the master branch. If you are not yet familiar with this process it may take time to learn it all (instruction at GitHub are good), but then you will benefit from it for the rest of your life.

I think, the most confortable way for me is to translate the IT/DE/RU mo-files and send it to somebody that integrates its in the project.

so I have also done for the time being.

You can then send the translated files to John (that he will certainly appreciate)
